25 April 2017 – New BGE website online
Welcome to the website of BGE (the federally-owned company responsible for radioactive waste disposal). The website provides basic information on the BGE and its tasks. By adding new features and content it is continuously extended.
The BGE is in the development stage. Its task is to search a suitable site for a repository for especially heat-generating radioactive waste. Later on it will take over the construction and operation of the repository. Furthermore, the BGE operates the Asse II mine, the Konrad repository, and the Morsleben repository.
More information on the Asse II mine, the Konrad repository and the Morsleben repository can be found on the archived websites of the Federal Office for Radiation Protection.
